John Washington III Says the Corrupt Political System Needs to Be Exposed and Calls for Peaceful, Constitutional Change
John Washington III, a candidate for president in 2028, asked who decides which candidates get cameras, money, endorsements and publicity, and argued that independent voices are pushed out while their ideas are taken by chosen candidates.
John Washington III, a candidate for president in 2028, said the corrupt political system needs to be exposed. "Who decides who gets put in front of the cameras? Who gets the money, the endorsements, the publicity?" he wrote. "Why do independent voices get pushed out while their ideas get stolen?"
John Washington III argued that gatekeeping, not democracy, decides which voices reach the public. "They won't stand behind us, but they'll hand our ideas to their chosen puppets on a string," he wrote. "That's not democracy, that's gatekeeping."
He called for change that is peaceful and constitutional, aimed at building a new government that actually works for the people. John Washington III pointed to the Declaration of Independence, writing that when a government becomes destructive of the people's rights, the people can alter or abolish it, and he urged Americans to come together to build something that serves the people, not the powerful.
